As L’Abbaye is tucked away in the countryside, safe woods and laneways surround the property. Daily excursions from a base at L’Abbaye provide a wide range of entertainment for children; the Zoo at Doue la Fontaine; Puy de Fou with its medieval spectacles, jousting and falconry exhibits; the rural amusement park of L’Arche, FutureScope with a large number virtual reality amusements, river swimming at Rochefort; the Brittany Coast; medieval castles and chateaux.
